Where did my fireplace go???
Anyone ever stained a precast stone fireplace? I am wanting to make my fireplace more of a focal point. After finally choosing paint we love we realize that it made the fireplace disappear. So I have been researching the possibility of staining the stone. It sounds like it can be done and for probably under $45!!
Here are some lighter colored ones that stand out nicely against their background paint..
Also, while I am LOVING my console/dresser from the Frosted Gardner I am thinking that under the TV is not the best space for it. (I want to use it in another room.) Now to save $$ for a custom entertainment center. I have guy who will do a custom one for my niche at not too bad of a price (but still more than I can afford right now).
Which one of the options do you like?
Anyhow just thinking today.
What do you think?

The fireplace will be stunnin a lighter color and so perfect against the wall color. I love option A, but I really like to be able to close off the tv when I want to. Can't wait to see the fireplace. Hugs, Marty
Hmmmm. I like the option A of closing off the TV all together. Just not having the TV in the open may give your fireplace more of the focal you're desiring.
Good Luck!
Jen,
This is your hubby's cousin's wife, Callie (did ya follow that?). I love your blog and I look at it all the time to get ideas for our new house.
Anyway, I vote for Option A. I'd love to be able to hide the TV. Also I think hiding it would help with making the fireplace more of a focal point.
Hi Jen,
Just like the others, I love option A. I think when the tv is not in use and you close off the cabinet doors, that will automatically draw your eye back to the fireplace. Good Luck.
